Facebook Ad brings in Too Many Strategy Sessions

I have a confession. Six, actually.
1) I’m a little woo-woo. Ok, more than a little.
2) I keep washable crayons in the shower so that when ideas come to me, I can write ’em on the walls.
3) I’m not flashy. I don’t even remember whether I own a suit.
4) I don’t know what “fleek” is. But I’ll probably look it up after this.
5) I’d rather work IN my business than work ON my business. (Gasp!)
6) I believe inspiration and bliss will lead you to success, IF you follow them. Really.

“So what, Ms. Crazypants?” You might think. “Why should I care about any of this?”

I’ll tell you why:

Because, despite what all the experts, marketers, and gurus say (or shout)…

Business doesn’t have to be a grind. It doesn’t have to be slick. It doesn’t have to be soulless. It doesn’t even have to be complicated.

I’m not saying it’s easy. But if an offbeat dreamer like me can do it—without changing who I am or what I’m about—perhaps you can, too.

I’m not a people person. I’m not a born entrepreneur. I didn’t even have a lemonade stand as a kid. And guess what? I don’t do half the stuff “they” say you absolutely MUST DO to succeed!!!

If you saw my to-do list, you’d laugh. My business plan? Doesn’t exist.

But business keeps getting better all the time.

How can that be?

The copy went on from there, and people loved it. This Facebook ad ran throughout the summer of 2017 and got me leads for an average cost per lead of $3.15. It got 437 reactions (like, love, or wow), 71 shares, and 44 comments. I was getting so many people signing up for free strategy sessions after the free webinar that this ad led to, I couldn’t handle them all, so I started charging for strategy sessions.

Why did it work so well? I started with an unusual, eye-catching image, and added relatable copy that grabs the reader’s attention right away and doesn’t give it up. I focused on pain points of the target market and hit them in a relatable and funny way. For the right people, it was irresistible.
